• Replace your SEGA Game Gear's original display assembly with a brand new IPS display kit that vastly improves the battery life of your Sega Game Gear console!
• Created by renowned Australian retro inventor BennVenn!
• This version of the kit is compatible with ONLY motherboard models VA0 and VA1!
• Supports both ORIGINAL GameGear motherboards, AND brand new replacement motherboards by SYF, found HERE!
• Supports HDMI output (TMDS) via optional ribbon and connector assembly. (Select YES or NO above to choose to include)
• Use the plastic stencil in the optional HDMI kit for easily tracing where to cut your shell for easier HDMI port installation.

GGHD "2024 - FW v2.2" kit:

• This is the original version of the GGHD kit running original firmware ("FW").
• Requires installation of touch sensor for OSD menu control.
• NOTICE: We are selling this kit version at a discount to clear our remaining stock.

GGHD "2025 - FW v2.3" kit:

• This is the 2025 (newest) revision of the GGHD kit.
• Does NOT require installation of touch sensor for OSD menu control (solder "T" to "5" on the ribbon if not installing with touch sensor).
• Supports user-defined button combo to bring up and close the OSD menu (whether installing touch sensor or not).
• Supports image position adjustment left or right.
• Handy tip: Hold UP and START when powering-on console to reset all OSD settings to defaults (FW v2.3 only).
• NOTICE: Some FW v2.3 display unit PCBs include a 3rd FPC connector that is unused on the current v2.3 firmware.  Firmware updates are NOT available to customers and will be released on future GGHD kits only.
