Product features:

• Load and play your own Gameboy and Gameboy Color game ROMs! Ideal for Pokemon games, Pokemon ROM hacks, some homebrew titles, and more!
• Cartridge holds 1 or 2 Gameboy or Gameboy Color game ROMs at a time
• Ideal for Pokemon games, Pokemon ROM hacks, or LSDJ!
• Can be used with the Joey Jr. cartridge flasher, sold HERE!
• Utilizes FRAM for save data - No battery required for saves!
• Real-time clock (RTC) allows for time-based events in applicable games to take place (battery required and included - CR1220 LiCB cell)
• Can hold up to 2 game ROMs, 2 save files, and 2 RTC (clock) instances on a single cartridge!
• MBC3 and MBC5 modes supported, can switch ROMs and modes via DIP switches (Shell must be opened - Instructions pictured, also detailed below)
• Up to 8 MB of ROM storage accessible in MBC5 mode - Use for storing 1 game ROM
• 2x 4 MB of ROM storage accessible in MBC3 mode - Use for storing 2 game ROMs
• Up to 128 KB of FRAM for save data in MBC5 mode (i.e. LSDJ)
• 2x 64 KB FRAM available in MBC3/30 mode - NOTE: RTC enabled in MBC3 mode
• Alternate cartridge shell colors can be purchased HERE! (3.8mm Gamebit socket or screwdriver required, see product page for details)

DIP switch instructions:

• DIP 1 - Mapper mode:
• OFF = MBC3
• ON = MBC5
• DIP 2 - RTC/clock:
• OFF = RTC enabled (64 KB FRAM + RTC)
• ON = RTC disabled, but all 128 KB FRAM addressable for saves (usable with LSDJ and other such ROM's)
• DIP 3 (Mode A) - When in MBC3 mode (DIP 1 OFF):
• OFF = ROM bank 1 selected (4 MB), FRAM bank 1 selected (64 KB)
• ON = ROM bank 2 selected (4 MB), FRAM bank 2 selected (64 KB)
• DIP 3 (Mode B) - When in MBC5 mode (DIP 1 ON):
• OFF = ROM bank 1 selected (4 MB, or up to ALL 8 MB), FRAM bank 1 selected (64 KB, or up to all 128 KB), can only fit 1 game on cartridge in 8 MB + 128 KB configuration
• ON = ROM bank 2 selected (4 MB), FRAM bank 2 selected (64 KB)

NOTICES:

• This cartridge is compatible with FPGA consoles!  A recent update has been applied to ALL BennVenn MBC3000 model flash cartridges that provides greater compatibility with FPGA-based handheld consoles, including the Analogue Pocket, ModRetro Chromatic, the FunnyPlaying FPGBC, etc.; FPGA console compatibility is still not 100% guaranteed, but you will very likely not run into problems using this cartridge with one.

• If using a Joey Jr. to flash this cartridge yourself, you MUST update your Joey Jr. to the latest firmware, found HERE!
